Tumi Explo was born from a deep love for Andean culture, ancient Inca archaeology, and mountain wilderness. Headquartered in Cusco, Peru, we are a fully licensed and registered tour operator (MINCETUR / GERCETUR) committed to providing authentic, safe, and unforgettable travel experiences.
We believe in fair wages for our mountain porters, chefs, and native Quechua guides. A portion of every expedition directly supports rural Andean weaving communities in the Sacred Valley.
To confirm your reservation for any Machu Picchu or Inca Trail tour, an advance deposit of 30% to 50% is required. Since train tickets and official citadel entrance passes are non-transferable and issued directly with the traveler's passport number, deposits are utilized immediately to secure official government permits.
We understand that travel plans can change. For non-permit components (private transport, local guides, standard hotel reservations), changes requested up to 30 days prior to departure incur zero penalty fees. Permit tickets (Inca Trail & Machu Picchu citadel passes) follow the regulations established by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture.
Tumi Explo strictly adheres to the Code of Conduct against the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in the Tourism Sector (ESSNA), in accordance with Peruvian Law No. 29408. We promote safe, ethical, and respectful tourism practices across all destinations.
We accept secure international credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), bank wire transfers, and PayPal. All transactions are encrypted with 256-bit SSL protocols. Local cash payments in USD or Peruvian Soles (PEN) are accepted at our official Cusco office.
Your personal data (passport information, dietary preferences, emergency contacts) is collected solely for the legal processing of flight, train, and sanctuary permits. We never share or sell personal information to third-party marketing entities.
